Pipes

Pipes

Typical applications are e.g.:
Pressure pipes, Sewage pipes, Gas pipes, Cable conduits, Corrugated pipes

  • Typical materials: PVC, HDPE, PP, PET
  • Common throughputs up to 2.000 kg/h
  • Filtration finenesses down to 200 µm

In the manufacture of pipes, in addition to the removal of solid contaminants, filtration must ensure permanent process and product consistency. With some types of pipe, material costs can be reduced with the use of recycled material. For this, Gneuss Filtration Systems offer tailor-made solutions and make cost reductions and top qualities possible.

The advantages of Rotary Filtration

  • Quality and pipe tolerance accuracy
The process-constant filtration avoids wall thickness/diameter and quality variations. This guarantees that dimensional tolerances are met.
  • High added value with the use of recycled material
Thanks to the process- and pressure-constant filtration, finer filtration of the melt is made possible. This permanently guarantees high quality and a high line availability, also when recycled material is used.
  • Short dwell time of the melt in the filtration system
Due to the optimum rheological design of Gneuss Filtration Systems, the dwell time of the melt in the system is minimized and thus thermal stress is avoided.
  • Quality assurance
The gneussconstant mode of operation guarantees an improved quality of the end product, because production conditions remain constant and pressure spikes and degraded material during screen changes are avoided. This is very important especially with liability issues, for example with regard to gas pipes.
  • Minimum pressure consumption
The compact design of Gneuss Filtration Systems makes it possible to reduce pressure consumption to a minimum. Often, only by these means it is possible to filtrate at all, e.g. PVC.
  • No production interruptions, no machine downtime
Changing screens of Gneuss Rotary Filtration Systems does not have any influence on the production process. Deposits of additives at the extruder head, which make a cleaning necessary, can be reduced with Gneuss Filtration Systems.
